Here's some pics from the launch!!
These lovely ladies from the Inner Wheel club of Beecroft invited Steve & Diane to join their meeting in June to talk about literacy. It was a really interesting discussion with a group of very successful generous and hospitable ladies!
Meet Amanda Hazlett, a fantastic illustrator and artist, mum, wife, singer and part time Wonder Woman! Amanda has produced the cover and illustrations for Steve's latest book The Psycho Scientist - her drawings really bring the story and characters to life- have fun and enjoy Amanda's weird and wacky illustrations!
Illustrating books can be very difficult because it is important that both the illustrator and author visualise the characters the same way. It can take up to ten or more attempts to get a drawing just right sometimes!
Amanda has the job of making sure that her pictures fit in with the way Steve visualises the characters and situations. Here are three drawings showing Piper pretending she has been attacked by axe wielding zombies in the basement of her new house! You can see the development of the picture up to the final colour drawing which was accepted by the publishers.
Amanda is happy...because Steve is happy...the front cover is taking shape and things are looking good - hope you are happy too!
